The Star among the wine decanters: The eponymous wine decanter of the brand Zieher combines innovative design with the highest functionality. »Star« has it – in the truest sense of the word – in itself: The name rührt from the außen;ergewnlichen design inside the decanter. An integrated glass star first causes astonished looks, and then for überraschende pleasure moments. If you swirl the decanter filled with wine, the rays of the star lift a fine film of oxygen under the wine. This gentle aeration makes it possible for the wine to unfold from within, as it were. With conventional wine decanters, this development can only take place on the surface of the wine and does not achieve nearly the effect as with the decanter »Star«.

The star anchored inside the glass is a masterpiece of the glassmaker's art. In elaborate handwork, the star-shaped glass structure and the carafe are created. This technique is mastered by only a few glass artists in the quality for which Zieher is known. Each piece is unique and therefore particularly valuable.

»Star« is made of borosilicate glass, a high-quality and robust type of glass, which is also used in laboratory glasses. The surface of borosilicate glass is äußerst smooth and repellent and is so easy to clean.
