The Ayam decanter is named after the most exclusive and sought-after breed of chickens in the world, originally from Indonesia. The elegant and impressive appearance of the Ayam rooster inspired Maximilian J. Riedel to create this innovative and functional design. Committed to his successful family tradition, he wanted to create something extraordinary and completely new to celebrate the 260th anniversary of his family business. Ayam has impressively succeeded in doing so.
The impressive decanter is practical and functional, as well as aesthetically unusual. Ayam is a decanter with a double decanting function - this means that the wine is aerated both when pouring in and when serving. This significantly shortens the decanting time. The intense supply of oxygen can be recognized by the sonorous gurgling that occurs when the wine is swirled during pouring and pouring out. The shape of the decanter is space-saving and allows for easy and uncomplicated handling.
But that's not the highlight of this piece. The world innovation lies in its design, which is designed in such a way that the crystal glass decanter can not only stand on the table but also hang!
