With the Macon decanter, Maximilian J. Riedel presents a new shape that allows gentle decanting and is therefore perfect for older red or young white wines.
"The source of inspiration for these new decanters were elaborately crafted cognac and whiskey bottles, some of them up to 100 years old, which I discovered during a visit to London in one of the trendy fine wine stores. In the design of the Margaux, Macon, and Marne decanters, I have reinterpreted these impressions for my wine decanters. Form and function create a perfect symbiosis," explains Maximilian J. Riedel about his new creations.
This decanter, handcrafted from crystal glass, is both modern and classic. According to Maximilian Riedel, it also reflects a clear trend of our time:
"Back to basics. Riedel decanters with double and triple decanting functions are highly functional, but for some, they are too complicated and laborious to handle. With these three new decanters, we are taking a step back and offering an alternative that, in our view, perfectly interprets the spirit of the times."
