ASA SELECTION »Coppa Nori«
»Coppa Nori« by ASA SELECTION is a successful blend of Asian tea culture and Italian design. »Coppa« is the Italian term for cup, as the design of all Coppa hollow parts is based on a cup shape. Simple, aesthetic, and functional. The »Coppa« collection deliberately avoids unnecessary elements and consists of only a few multifunctional pieces. The teapot is available in two different sizes, with a capacity of 0.6 and 1.0 liters. Each teapot includes a matching stainless steel tea strainer. The handles of the teapots are made of wood, providing a beautiful contrast to the smooth, cool porcelain. There is also a dessert plate, a small bowl, and various cups – with and without handles. The handleless cups can also be used as sugar bowls.
»Nori« is the Japanese term for edible seaweed, which is pressed, dried, and roasted. The resulting sheets are mainly used for sushi preparation. Roasting gives the characteristic color that gives the »Nori« collection its name. In this ASA porcelain series, special effect glazes are used in the manufacturing process. These give each piece its unique appearance and make it look handcrafted due to the lively texture.
