Zwiesel Glass »Duo«

The glass series »Duo« by the brand Zwiesel Glass is created through the combination of manual craftsmanship and machine precision. With state-of-the-art technology, the delicate bowl of Zwiesel Glass »Duo« is manufactured automatically. The graceful stem and flat base plate of the glasses are traditionally hand-formed. This creates a kind of hybrid glass that provides an innovative glass experience: Elegant lightness meets durable stability in »Duo«.

The white wine and champagne glasses of the »Duo« collection by Zwiesel Glass are equipped with a so-called effervescence point at the bottom of the bowl. The effervescence point is a deliberate slight unevenness on the inside of the glass, which is laser-etched into the glass in a rosette shape. The carbon dioxide contained in the drink gathers at the rough surface of this effervescence point, dissolves, and bubbles up. Sparkling white wines and sparkling wines benefit from this technique through a longer and more intense effervescence.

The Zwiesel Glass »Duo« series includes two different sizes of white wine glasses, a red wine glass »Burgundy«, a red wine glass »Bordeaux«, and a sparkling wine/champagne glass. All glasses are available in a practical set of 2.
