The Villeroy & Boch »Afina« collection was designed by renowned industrial designer Christian Haas. The eponymous porcelain focuses on understatement with a touch of extravagance: Clear shapes in pure white reveal their design details only at second glance. This includes the delicate line relief. The designer was inspired by sun rays and adapted this fine structure to each item individually.
The glass series Villeroy & Boch »Afina Glass« takes up this relief and masterfully implements it in crystal glass. The stem glasses for red wine, white wine, and champagne feature engraved lines in the lower part of the glass bowls, reminiscent of delicate flower calyxes. The radiant relief is also located in the lower third of the tumblers for water and long drinks. Thus, the »Afina« glasses perfectly match the minimalist porcelain.
