The glass series »Air Sense« is proof that true innovative thinking is possible even with products whose basic form has not changed since ancient times. The Swedish design duo Bernadotte & Kylberg, together with the traditional brand Zwiesel Glass, has created a glass collection that, in addition to its impressive, almost weightless appearance, incorporates a functional and striking design feature: A decanter ball made of clear crystal glass is firmly integrated into the »Air Sense« glasses and is located at the bottom of the stem glasses, tumblers, and decanters. The ball is not only a fascinating eye-catcher, but it also significantly contributes to the development of wine aromas according to wine connoisseurs. The enlarged surface area provides additional oxygen to the wine, allowing it to breathe better than in conventional glasses. Young wines, in particular, are said to benefit from this decanting effect.
The graceful glasses of the »Air Sense« series are mouth-blown and handcrafted. The collection includes special red wine glasses for Bordeaux and Burgundy, a white wine glass for Chardonnay, and a champagne flute. The glass shape supports the respective character of the noble contents and guarantees a perfect drinking experience. The series is rounded off by an all-round tumbler for water and soft drinks, a tall, slim decanter for white wine, and a wider red wine decanter.
