The »Birthday Mugs« feature elaborate motifs that reinterpret well-known and popular Villeroy & Boch designs. The idea: Over the long company history, countless porcelain designs were created. Many of them became bestsellers and are now among the Villeroy & Boch classics. Five of them were selected, reimagined, and adorn the anniversary mugs, framed in a heart shape:
These include the traditional design »Alt Luxemburg«, the enchanting floral designs »Mariefleur« and »Petite Fleur«, the exotic-looking »Avarua«, and the expressive anniversary design »Paradiso«. This is a tribute to the early days of the company's history: The motif in classic blue, framed by a heart in bright orange, was implemented in the style of historical copper engravings.
