Rosenthal celebrated the 60th anniversary of its product line studio-line with the collection »Sixty & Twelve«: Sixty selected vases in twelve different colors, representing a kind of tangible time travel through Rosenthal's design history. The extraordinary colors of the vases have sonorous names like Fossil, Sea Salt, Pacific, and Cameo. These trend colors range from pastel blues and turquoises to a delicate yellow. Included in this exclusive birthday series are Rosenthal vase classics like »Fast« by Cédric Ragot and also current designs like »Skum« by BIG. Thus, the variety of forms in this art object series is as diverse as its color palette.
The vases »Sixty & Twelve« are not superficially decorated but elaborately crafted from a specially developed, colored porcelain mass at Rosenthal. To represent the shape of the colored vases as originally as their white counterparts, each model of the 60 vases had to be newly designed for this limited edition. Each »Sixty & Twelve« vase is limited to 60 pieces per color. The limitation makes these design icons even more desirable and valuable for connoisseurs and collectors.
