Rosenthal studio-line »Node«

A vase made of rigid porcelain in the shape of a flexible knot – that's »Node« by Rosenthal. A true eye-catcher, this design seems to play with the laws of physics, drawing all eyes to it. A knot-like entanglement is usually found in flexible materials like string, rope, or cordage. Designer Martin Hirth captures a knot-shaped entanglement in porcelain with »Node«. He fixes a fleeting moment into a lasting sculpture. Its true purpose as a vase allows the contents to shine – a branch, a single flower, or a bouquet. Even without flowers, »Node« stands out as an extravagant home accessory.

The vase „Node“ with a height of 25 cm is available in four color variants: in pure white and in the versions Cameo (Rosé), Abyss (Petrol Green), and Lava (Gray). The colored versions are not superficially decorated but made of colored porcelain.

The mini versions of „Node“ adopt the characteristic design of their larger counterpart: The 12 cm high miniature vases „Node Stripes“ also appear in knot form. Hand-painted stripes in the colors Apple, Blueberry, Mango, and Plum enhance the effect: „Node Stripes“ represent an almost lifelike depiction of a thick rope knot.

Martin Hirth (*1987) studied product design at the HfG Offenbach University of Art and Design and founded his own studio during his studies. Many of Martin Hirth's works have already been awarded and exhibited in Milan, Paris, and Berlin.
