Rosenthal Brillance »Grand Air«
As refreshing as a walk in fresh mountain air, the floral decor »Grand Air« is presented naturally and lightly on the Rosenthal form Brillance. Swiss textile designer Regula Stüdli takes the viewer on her journey through a natural herb garden, where it is green and blooming. Delicate blossoms grow here, along with aromatic wildflowers and spicy herbs, creating the graceful and sophisticated decor »Grand Air«. Here you will find edible flowers such as nasturtium, daisies, and much more alongside thyme, rosemary, and lavender. The delicate depictions of grasses, herbs, and flowers emphasize the transparent appearance of the noble Bone China material.
Each porcelain item, whether plate, cup, or bowl, carries a custom-designed motif in Brillance »Grand Air«: Full-surface decors alternate with plant arrangements that seem to climb along the edge of the plates. On bread plates, dinner plates, and place plates, as well as saucers, the floral motifs are carried by a gentle sage green. This delicate color background creates a fine contrast to the cream-white Bone China of the other items.
Regula Stüdli is one of the most renowned textile designers in Switzerland. For Rosenthal, she has designed, among others, the decors »Fleurs des Alpes« and »Fleurs Sauvages», as well as »Maria Pink Rose«.
