Rosenthal »Bloom«
Opposites attract. This statement aptly describes the design of the Rosenthal »Bloom« collection. Articles with consistently geometric lines are combined here with organic, natural shapes. The cups and mugs of »Bloom« have a distinctive cylindrical contour. The handles are not round as usual, but angular. For so-called flat parts, there are two versions: One is designed in a purist manner and has only a minimal edge instead of a rim. The second plate variant, as well as the bowls from Rosenthal »Bloom«, form a striking contrast: An open hibiscus blossom served as a template for this floral shape. The use of the hibiscus motif is Asian-inspired, as is the design of the footed bowls. Their grooved relief is further emphasized by the partial coloring.
The three colors of Rosenthal »Bloom« also appear contrasting: Lava, a matte gray, Scarlet, a matte warm brick red, and Snow, a broken, glossy white. Eye-catching items in the Scarlet finish - a jar, various bowls, and a multifunctional jug - immediately catch the eye with their irregular color application. The high-quality porcelain gets a handmade look in this version and resembles handcrafted stoneware. At the same time, the Scarlet items bring a touch of the Far East to the table with their special shape and color.
