Robbe & Berking cutlery 12
The impetus for the design of this Robbe & Berking cutlery collection comes from the world of yachting. Regatta sailing is governed internationally by a recognized classification - the International Rule. Boats and yachts are divided into so-called meter classes to create an equal opportunity for similar boats in sports competitions.
As icons, the so-called 12s, this number does not indicate the lenght of the boat , but is the result of a formula that calculated certain dimensions of the yacht. The Twelve stands for the premier class of yachting, and it is also the new cutlery series from the Flensburg silversmith their name: 12
You think this is a bit far-fetched for a cutlery design? Not if you know that Robbe & Berking maintains its own boatyard and has a very intimate affinity for yachting. But you do not have to be a professional sailor to understand the fascination of the 12 series. The expressive design was designed by Daniel Eltner. The shape of the tasteful silver cutlery shows the origin of his lines. A true epitome of elegance and beauty.
