Robbe & Berking Cutlery »12«
The inspiration for the design of this Robbe & Berking cutlery collection comes from the world of yacht racing. Regatta sailing is internationally regulated by a recognized classification - the »International Rule«. Here, boats and yachts are divided into so-called meter classes to create equal opportunities for similar boats in competitive sports. The so-called »12s« are considered icons, where this number does not indicate the boat length, but the result of a formula that calculates certain dimensions of the yacht. The twelve stands for the royal class of yacht racing, and it also gives the new cutlery series from the Flensburg silversmith its name: 12
Do you find this a bit far-fetched for a cutlery design? Not if you know that Robbe & Berking maintains its own shipyard and has a very close affinity to yacht racing. But you don't have to be a professional sailor to understand the fascination that emanates from the series »12«. The expressive design was created by Daniel Eltner. The shape of the tasteful silver cutlery reveals the origin of its lines. A true epitome of elegance and beauty.
