Rosenthal »Form 1382 White«

For purists, design lovers, and all who appreciate clear, simple shapes: The »Form 1382 White« by Rosenthal (formerly Arzberg Porcelain). This icon of porcelain history was designed in 1931 by architect and ceramist Dr. Hermann Gretsch. His goal was to create a form that, with its timeless appearance and simplicity, would bring joy to consumers for a long time. He succeeded, as the success of his revolutionary porcelain form proves him right: Since its creation, the »Form 1382« has been produced and sold unchanged in form. Over time, only minimal, subtle adjustments have been made to meet today's demands and dining habits. For example, the Rosenthal »Form 1382 White« collection now includes two different sizes of breakfast plates: the original size with a diameter of 19 cm, and the more modern version with 22 cm. This larger plate better meets the breakfast and brunch preferences of many people today. However, the shape of the pieces remains unchanged.

With the Rosenthal »Form 1382 White«, Hermann Gretsch created "THE porcelain design of the twentieth century," as they say. This form has indeed lost none of its beauty and fascination and is as relevant today as it was back then.

Important information for our customers:
Since 2013, the traditional brand Arzberg has been part of Rosenthal GmbH. As Rosenthal simplifies its brand structure, the Arzberg forms Cucina and Tric will be marketed under the Thomas brand, while Form 1382 and Joyn will be integrated into the Rosenthal label.
Through this integration, Rosenthal aims to give the four successful Arzberg forms even more internationality and visibility. The high quality and outstanding design of the collections will remain unchanged. The products will only receive a new bottom stamp.
