This exclusive glass series from the Eisch glassworks is a combination of luxurious appearance and completely new haptics: Handcrafted glasses, plates, bowls, carafes, and accessories are refined on the outside with a layer of 24-carat gold. This gold layer is then given a glaze coating in either a light or dark stone look. This creates the extraordinary look of Eisch »Cosmo«, and also the special touch of these glasses, as their surface feels pleasantly sensual, almost velvety.
The »Cosmo« cups for coffee specialties like espresso and cappuccino create a completely new drinking experience. You not only perceive the delicious aroma of the coffee, but also enjoy the sight of the crema reflecting in the gold of the cup. For a typical Italian dessert, Eisch »Cosmo« offers the perfect drinking pleasure: »Affogato al caffè« consists of espresso and vanilla ice cream. Italian »affogare« literally means »to drown«. The scoop of vanilla ice cream is poured over with the hot espresso, thus drowned in it. The Eisch glass set consists of an espresso cup with saucer and a small jug. The ice cream is served in the cup, which is then filled with the espresso from the pre-warmed jug. The melted vanilla ice cream is spooned with pleasure, and the coffee with the melted ice cream is drunk. The shine of the gilded cup turns the Affogato al caffè into an »Affogato al oro«. A feast for all the senses!
