Rosenthal »Junto«

Eating together, enjoying together, and celebrating life together – with Rosenthal »Junto«. The word »Junto« comes from Spanish and means »together, with each other, together«. This collection from Rosenthal brings both people and different materials together: Fine porcelain, sensual ceramics, and warm wood are creatively combined. The wide range of different items and colors offers countless variations. Everyone can create their personal Junto tableware from the wide variety, according to taste, mood, and whim.

Organic shapes and natural colors give this Rosenthal series an authentic handmade look and special charm. The names of the colors like Alabaster, Aquamarine, Ocean Blue, Opal Green, Pearl Grey, and Soft Shell evoke associations with their natural counterparts. These colors perfectly stage every style of international cooking and food culture. The bowls, dishes, and bowls in various shapes and sizes are multifunctional: They are suitable for muesli, porridge, and desserts, as soup bowls, salad bowls, and side dishes, for dip sauces, dressings, herbs, and spices. The »Junto« serving boards made of wood, as well as large plates and platters from the porcelain and ceramic series, fit perfectly as trays for the bowls.

»Junto« was developed by the Italian designer duo Tonetti & Padiglione. Gianpietro Tonetti (*1958) works mainly as a product designer in his own studio TonettiDesign in Lodi. The native Roman Mario Padiglione (*1983) works as a freelance furniture and product designer, among others, for TonettiDesign.

Rosenthal »Junto«

Rosenthal »Junto« | Porcelain

Characteristic of the »Junto« porcelain collections is the delicate diamond relief that adapts to the shape of the articles. This relief is inspired by Mediterranean patterns and ornaments. It alternates on the top, as well as the bottom and outside of plates and bowls. A special color glaze results in changing light and dark tones, depending on the light incidence, and provides a fascinating appearance.

Rosenthal »Junto« | Ceramic

A so-called reactive glaze gives each ceramic article in »Junto« a unique appearance. During firing, different color nuances arise, and unique structures develop on the ceramic surface. Thus, each piece has a unique character and emphasizes the handcrafted appearance of the collection.
