Maximilian J. Riedel presents with the Macon decanter a new form that allows a mild decantation and is therefore perfect for older red or young white wines.
According to Maximilian J. Riedel, the source of inspiration for these new decanters were extravagantly crafted cognac and whiskey bottles, some of them almost 100 years old and were discovered during his visit to London within one of the so-called 'fine wine stores'. The design of Margaux,Macon and Marne wine decanters carry these reinterpreted impressions. Shapes as well as function form a perfect symbiosis.
The crystal glass decanter is modern and classic at the same time. According to Maximilian Riedel, this also reveals a clear trend of our time.
Maximilian Riedel admits, we deal with Back to basic. Although Riedel decanters with double and triple decantations are highly functional, for some they may be too complicated and expensive to use. With these three new decanters, the producer takes a step back and offers an alternative that,in his opinion, perfectly interprets today's zeitgeist or spirit of the time.
